Stations of the Cross

Join us for the Stations of the Cross this year, a time of shared fellowship and prayer with our local parishes.
Weeks 1 and 6: We will gather as a parish at Sacred Heart, Newport, and St Margaret Mary’s, Spotswood.
Weeks 2 to 5: We will be visiting other churches and joining them in their services. We hope this shared reflective fellowship will help us prepare for Holy Week and Easter celebrations. Dates and times are as follows;

    We welcome children into God’s community through Baptism.

    At Sacred Heart, Newport, Baptism is celebrated on the Saturday of the 3rd week of the odd months (January, March, May, July, September, November) at 11.00am.

    At St. Margaret Mary’s, Spotswood, Baptism is celebrated on the Saturday of the 3rd week of the even months (February, April, June, August, October, December) at 11.00am.

  • Marriage

    Welcome to our Parish, and congratulations on your upcoming Nuptials.

    The Sacrament of Marriage can be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, Newport or at St. Margaret Mary’s, Spotswood.

    Marriages are celebrated only according to the rites of the Catholic Church. This means that at least one party must be baptised Catholic and both parties are free to marry. If you have any queries about this, please contact the parish office or speak with the priest who will marry you.
